Well Folks, here we are...If the so called Christian Right stays home instead of voting or votes for some third party
candidate instead of voting for (Heaven Forbid!!)a Mormon if Mitt Romney gets the nomination, we could have
Hitlery Clinton or B. Hussein Obama, a Muslim for president of the United States. I will lay the blame exactly where
it belongs if that happens, because I have heard so many Evangelical Christians (one of my sisters included) say
that he or she WILL NOT VOTE FOR A MORMON!!!!!!!! However, that could mean that you will, by omission, vote
for someone who never met a lie she could not tell or a Muslim. How is a Muslim better than a Mormon?
When I was in school and Kennedy, a Catholic, was running against Nixon for president, I heard so many of the
adults saying that a Catholic could never be elected president of our country. However, I never heard a one of
them say they would stay home instead of voting for Nixon, and we all know that Nixon won the popular vote.
What we are facing this election is an ultra conservative snit, hissy fit, call it what you will. I don't know if there is a
GOP candidate that fits the ultra conservative mold. I am waiting to see what comes out in the wash of the
primaries because I'm not too taken with any of the GOP candidates but Heaven Forbid! I cannot vote for any of
the Dems at all!
I consider myself an Independent. I vote the candidate instead of the party but when I am presented with the
less than stellar roster both parties are running...well, has anyone got someone waiting around the corner in case
all of the above don't make the cut? I keep expecting to hear that Rev Sharpton is available, now that he has
gotten in bed with illegal immigration and the Jena 6, to be drafted as the Dems presidential nomination. That
would just be the icing on the cake!
John Edwards says don't count him out because Dean looked like a shoe-in last time around but I did not think
that was true. I kept saying that he had to get his supporters off of their computers and into the polls and I was
right. If they could have voted on their computers, Dean may have won the election, but they had to physically go
to the polls and that was just too much.
Barak Hussein Obama thinks that he is endearing himself to his voters by declaring that he won't wear an
American Flag pin on his lapel because his patriotism is so much deeper than that of people who wear flag pins
and, besides, he wants to "Build the Kingdom" here and now instead of waiting for Heaven. Maybe he doesn't want
to wait for his seventy virgins (or Virginians, if you've heard the joke).
What can I say about Hillary Clinton? I believe the "smartest woman in America" is an unmitigated liar. She has so
many people clipping articles, etc for her and she stood up to the American people and told us she did not know
about Bill's transgression until he himself told her. I believe that since then, the woman has lost touch more and
more with the truth. Also, she scares the bejeepers out of me when she starts talking about healthcare, about
taking ALL of the profits from oil companies, handing out $5000 bonds for all babies born in the US including
anchor babies, and, I keep remembering certain FBI files that turned up on her nightstand when she had been
trying to find dirt on her "enemies."
I know that the Republican candidates have some serious warts, including the fact that the ultra conservatives
have a short list of no abortions, creationism in school, no sex ed in school, etc and that Rudy Guilani is just a
little shady on these subjects plus he has multiple marriages under his belt.
Fred...what can I say about Fred? He is a Reagan Conservative in a newer package. Even Fred has his warts.
Huckabee is trying to backpedal and distance himself from President Bush. If I was Huckabee, I think I would also
distance myself from Arkansas as in our former President with the double wide library.
Truthfully, I haven't paid too much attention to Ron Paul because I do not think he has a snowballs chance of
winning the nomination. I could be wrong, but I doubt it.
I just know that this election is so very important because if one of the Ultra Liberal Democrat candidates is
elected this country is going to be unrecognizable to us within ten years or less. We will have open borders, even
more illegals than we now have, higher taxes ( especially to pay for EXPANDED benefits for illegals because
they are already getting paid for by tax payers benefits) (perhaps all of the people that employ illegals to keep
their bottom line looking good could pay for these benefits instead of us) and if you think Spanish is spoken and
written in this country now, and the Mexican flag is flown in this country now, and the Mexican government is
telling us how to run our country now, just wait.
I know that I sometimes sound like a broken record, but with the new estimate of all illegals in this country ( that
includes all ethnicities) being 38 million, we are heading down the same path as Britain, Germany and France.
It really does pay to study other countries history in dealing with unbridled immigration and to see the
subsequent problems arising from that policy. All three of these countries are being stressed to the point of
breaking because of the very policy that is being pushed onto us now. The Dems and their knee jerk emotional
responses to "does this make me feel good about myself " will never admit that there is a problem...quite the
contrary. Barbara Boxer (d-CA) is at this time trying to stop any and all deportations of illegals because of the
upcoming census in which illegals will be counted along with citizens and she hopes will declare themselves as
Democrats and thus increase their seats. Surprise! Not only is she so altruistic but she's feathering her nest at
the same time! What a gal!
As I have said in the past, we need to vote but we need to vote wisely. We must look beyond the hot air and the
empty promises. People, if it looks and sounds too good to be true, it is. If distortions and lies are being voiced
during the campaigns, they won't get better after the election.
Til next time
