Well, just when I think that the media cannot truly be as stupid as they seem, I am once again proven wrong. The
Dallas Morning News has named the collative illegal immigrants in this state as their Texan of the Year. Would I
actually be arrested if I went up beside the head of the nitwit that thought this obscenity up?
This is a slap in the face of all of the legal Texans in the United States. These doofuses think they are deep thinkers
but I can tell you what is deep in their offices and brains.
They also will try to tell you that they are attempting to open an intellectual debate in this state or country about the
plight of and fact of illegal immigration. Hooey! All they are, as are so many "intellectuals" in this country are
pretenders that are in love with the sound of their own voices and the products of their brains, whether or not the
product of said brains are worth exposing to the rest of us.
Illegal aliens are not worth what they cost us or our country. There were people, prior to the advent of the over the
top liberal thinking that is popular today, who would actually do the jobs that now the powers that be intone
pompously they will not do. I remember the migrant workers that my father hired to work on the produce farms and
in the packing sheds. I remember itinerate workers that housewives in our neighborhood hired to do home repairs.
I remember seeing legal white, legal black, legal hispanic and legal American Indians working on new homes or
reroofing existing homes in our neighborhood. Here, I see a lot of teenagers working on roofs in our area in the
summertime. These are not jobs Americans won't stoop to do. These are jobs employers don't want to pay more
than a starvation wage for people to do, so they hire illegals.
I am not against legal immigration. This country is a shining example of what can be accomplished with legal
immigration. What happens with unfettered illegal immigration, besides the obvious financial drain, is that we, the
citizens of this country are actually being told by the actions of the politicians we vote for, the people that claim to
speak for illegals and by the people that employ them, to sit down and shut up because We Do Not Count! We are
so fortunate to be born here or to be a naturalized citizen that we are being ugly to these less fortunates and that
when we want our laws obeyed we are racists or bigots. Not true. We have laws in this country and we are being
told that while we must obey laws, there are laws on the books that are so meaningless that we must never ask
illegals to obey them. However, we now have to have passports to get Back Into our own country if we travel outside
this country. Doesn't the Border Hopping Is Okay law apply to us as well? No.
I have always expected Dallas to screw up a free lunch and they never prove me wrong. However, I never expected
them to be so ignorant in that city that the powers that be at the DMN would actually think they could rub the noses
of Texas citizens in this illegal alien mess and walk away scot free. This probably won't be as big a deal in Dallas
as it will be in some of the other areas in Texas, mine included, but I am certain that there will be repercussions.
Oh, those at DMN will never admit to making a colossal screwup. They'll spout all sorts of liberal hogwash and
try to sound intellectual. but they are no better than the coyotes that bring these people to this country because by
doing what they are doing, they are encouraging this action.
On Michelle Malkins site there is discussion of this topic and one of the things mentioned was the rape trees down
on the border. That is one product of blindly ignoring the wholesale border hopping that is going on down there.
Then there is the fact that property is being ruined and livestock is being killed, not to mention people. I hear of
lala land liberals standing out in the desert with water, etc for these people as they come across. Yea. I also know
that drug lords use these people as forced mules to carry drugs into this country. I do know the Mexican army and
police also come across our border illegally whenever they want. Mexico has their army on their southern border
to keep illegals out of their country but when we mention doing this we are being heartless and racist. I also know
that we are going to be in trouble politically if the wrong person gets into the White House in 2008 because so many of the candidates are for open borders. I have to admit that I supported Tancredo and Hunter and now just
Hunter. None of the other candidates seem to have grasped the fact that illegal immigration is a huge topic with
voters in this upcoming election.
Certainly the DMN hasn't. They are still spouting that garbage about if we're just nice to illegals and let them stay
here it will raise our own opinions of ourselves. It will prove to liberals and the world that the United States isn't
the bad old country that deserved 9/11
Frankly I'm tired of that whole argument and equate it with so much offal from the southern end of a north bound
bull.
These people do not intend to assimilate. They do not want to be Americans. They want to be Mexican citizens
living in and enjoying everything they can get from the United States. In other words, we the taxpayers of our
country are not only being taxed to support our government, our people on welfare, our people on social security,
our people on medicaid, etc. but now we are being taxed to support people that should not be here in the first
place and think they have found El Dorado.
Dallas Morning News Texan of the Year? I think not.
